With the former Demon Realm King Dabura defeated, the new ruler King Gomah takes the stage; he uses the Dragon Balls to turn everyone who defeated Buu into kids– to easily conquer! This instantly shifts things and delivers those key antagonistic themes and creates surprisingly deep levels of intrigue and questions about what Gomah actually wants, completely bypassing prior issues within the series involving absurdly powerful antagonists.

Movie-Quality Animation: A Visual Feast for the Eyes

Fans waited years for a new Dragon Ball anime, leading to some anxiety and disappointment. That disappointment fades quickly, though; that very first moment; that re-animated recap for the Majin Buu Saga is insanely detailed, looking way more like Toriyama's manga than anything from the original DBZ anime! After that brief world-building and narrative elements, the episode seamlessly switches to the celebrations following Buu's defeat, delivering some intense, brilliantly choreographed fights; most importantly between Goku and Vegeta! This sequence's crispness; the incredible details show that Daima's fight choreography and animation look fantastic, far superior compared to that questionable overuse of repetitive moves found frequently throughout Super!
