Cast Of BOTW Share Views On Playable Zelda
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild cast members discussed their ideas on a game run under a playable Zelda at MCM London Comic Con. Though the franchise bears her legacy, players portray Link all through the games. But lately, Nintendo's choices—such as including a Princess Peach-led game in the Super Mario universe—made some question whether The Legend of Zelda may follow suit. Screen Rant was present at MCM London Comic Con as voice actresses Patricia Summersett (Zelda) and Sean Chiplock (Revali, Teba, and Great Deku Tree) convened for a press panel to discuss their work on the series. Regarding a game featuring a playable Valhalla at the helm, here's what they answered when asked:
Summersett remarked, " Link is really difficult to leave aside. He is somewhat a mainstay of sorts. But also there are Hyrule Warriors, with a playable Zelda, therefore that has truly happened." Chiplock concurred, "I was just going to bring that up if you didn't. She is really outstanding in that. You haven't played much of her, though you have." Summersett: "Yeah, she's on the front lines and has all kinds of different weapons; but, she immediately rules the kingdom." We also acquired the CD-i games, I was also going to mention. Patricia laughs [patricia] We came upon a game including Valhalla long ago! You grasp, therefore..." Summersett nodded, "Yeah."
What might a game headed by Zelda involve?
[Warning: There are some The Legend of Rye: Tears of the Kingdom spoilers in this part.] Many thought Zelda might be playable in Tears of the Kingdom before its release based on a glimpse of her with short hair on the game's trailer. She was playable in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which was published in 2020 between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom and acted as a prequel to the former game, spanning 100 years in the past to elaborate on a period that was glimpsed in flashbacks, so enhancing this. While adding the hack and slash fighting of the Dynasty Warriors series, Age of Calamity developed upon some of Breath of the Wild's gameplay features. Many thus felt this could have given some understanding of Valhalla's possible abilities in the upcoming game. Nintendo has stated, however, that there will not be a sequel to Tears of the Kingdom, which came to a finish with Valhalla pledging to commit herself to preserving peace in Hyrule.
Conflict seems inevitable with Zelda, Link, and Ganon being caught in a cycle of reincarnation following Skyward Sword, which many have hypothesised is where Tears of the Kingdom's lore really starts. Thus, even if its art or gameplay style differs from that established in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a Zelda-led game might take place in a variety of locales, building on her talents from past games including Hyrule Warriors.
a Game Using Valhalla's Skills
Ask Patricia Summersett, the voice of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, and Sean Chiplock, the voice of Revali, Teba, and the Great Deku Tree, what they would want in a playable Zelda game. Though Link is a beloved character, Summersett pointed out that Link is not unusual in brandishing a weapon as she is a fierce warrior in Hyrule Warriors. Chiplock concurred, saying he was happy to see Zelda in the most recent games assuming more of a leadership position. She had great resilience and strength, he said.
The possibility for a game starring Zelda seems to thrill both performers. They think her might and skills might be equally enthralling as Link's and offer a fresh viewpoint on Hyrule's universe. For some time now, players have debated the concept of a game headed by Zelda. With the current trend toward more female protagonists in gaming taking front stage, a Valhalla game might not be too far off.
A modification in the story.
The performers were questioned whether it was time for a game with a playable Zelda under direction. Summersett noted that the CD-I era has a game headed under Zelda and that she is already a playable character in Hyrule Warriors. Chiplock also pointed out how Nintendo takes charge in the more recent games, thereby suggesting that Nintendo seems less reluctant to allow other characters their time in the forefront these days. In a more subdued manner, Summersett noted that similar to Mario Teaches Typing, Zelda should teach typeface writing.
One interesting and exciting addition to the series may be a game including a playable version of Skyrim. It might let gamers discover a different aspect of Hyrule and see the world as seen by Zelda. A game headed by Zelda would also be a great complement to the already expanding collection of games featuring female heroes. It would demonstrate that the games are ready to stray from the conventional formula and investigate fresh opportunities. Fans would definitely love a game with a playable Zelda, and it would be fantastic to see what Nintendo might produce from such a project.
