Trunks Cosplay Shows Exactly What Live-Action Space Dragon Ball Needs
Popular Dragon Ball hero Trunks, a strong Z-Warrior, has been a feature of the series since his entrance as a time-traveling Super Saiyan in the Cell Saga. Arguably one of the most beloved Z-Fighters, Trunks has two separate versions: an alternate timeline Future Trunks and the current Kid/Teen Trunks who is in Dragon Ball Super One of the few characters who could work in live-action—something Tom proves—arriving on the scene in Dragon Ball Z following mincemeal treatment of Cyborg Frieza
Tom's purple hair, blue eyes, similar denim jacket, and scowl sell an anime-accurate design that simply is Future Trunks, and the first picture highlights exactly what needs to be part of Trunks' Live-Action debut more than anything else: his sword. Tom looks the part brandishing the weapon that reduces Frieza to size. Tom also shows his fans several pictures of his Anime equivalent, including one of him staring straight at the camera from his hands, so providing another fantastic snapshot of a design that does this character right.
New Trunks Cosplay Argues For Dragon Ball To Make Comebacks To Live-Action
Though it's doubtful that Goku and the rest of Dragon Ball fame will be making the big or small screen anytime soon given how universally panned 2009's Dragon Ball Evolution was on nearly all levels, it's good to know that Cosplayers like Max (@max exercise) are around to show fans what they are missing. Trunks deserves to enter the real world and be appreciated for the possible movie star he is; so, here's hoping the Dragon Ball Universe gets handled correctly in the live-action realm not too far off.
Though he doesn't have as many postings as some other Cosplay accounts, Max (@maxercise) just posted a bespoke look on Instagram that more than makes up for it with quality costumes that really stun. Max is a creative talent who is already off to a fantastic start, especially if his future projects are anywhere near to being as impressive as these are. He is not only Dragon Ball's Trunks but also Demon Slayer's Inosuke and Tengen, Attack on Titan's Eren Jaeger, and even Jujutsu Kaisen's Kento Nanami and Toji Fushiguro.
Dragons Ball's Prospect
In both anime and Live-Action, the Dragon Ball series boasts quite a legacy. Given the several Anime adaptations that have had success on television and in theatres, many have wondered why the franchise hasn't seen more live-action releases. Though Dragon Ball Evolution, a live-action picture, has yet to be forgotten, ideally a fresh version of the series will be produced going forward.
Dragon Ball is a huge multimedia series spanning back to the 1980s from the creative mind of Akira Toriyama. Rising from a serialized manga for Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan, Dragon Ball grew rapidly. It traveled abroad via a manga and an Anime version liked all around. The first starting animated show to follow the exploits of the young Son Goku as he pursued the Dragon Balls was Dragon Ball. Any who acquired these magical orbs would be granted their wish. The show then would split off into the hugely successful Dragon Ball Z, which followed Goku as an adult and had high-intensity combat and Goku's ceaseless pursuit to be the strongest. Up to the most recent successful Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the series has also had multiple popular video game adaptations and still running several new animated series and theatrical movies.
The Difficultty of Bringing Dragon Ball to Live-Action
Given the over-the-top action and absurd power levels, the anime's visual style has sometimes been viewed as a difficulty for adapting into live-action. Given the distinctive visual design of the show, there is worry that any live-action adaptation will fall short of the expectations for an anime.
But a live-action Dragon Ball movie or TV show might be a hit with viewers depending on the correct creative concept and financing. The franchise boasts a loyal following worldwide, and a well-made live-action adaptation might bring it to a whole fresh batch of spectators.
Exists hope for Dragon Ball in live-action?
While many fans of the franchise are excited about Dragon Ball succeeding in live-action, others may be concerned about another live-action flop. It could be worth waiting and seeing the few gifted artists and crafters working today since they could offer a realistic and interesting rendition of the content. With its captivating characters and gripping stories, the Dragon Ball Universe has great chance to find fresh life in live-action. Dragon Ball is not out of the running given a fresh wave of inventive ideas.
Bringing a dear anime to life might be challenging. Many can agree that the road can be challenging and protracted. For fans, though, there is great prospect for an engaging live-action anime adaptation.
